We worked in Indonesia, the Philippines and Malaysia where I was mainly in the kitchen and discovered so many new and wonderful ways of cooking vegetables. My all time best discovery was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.faithful-to-nature.co.za\/natures-charm-young-green-jackfruit-confiture\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"jackfruit (opens in a new tab)\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">jackfruit<\/span><\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.faithful-to-nature.co.za\/cocomi-organic-young-jack-fruit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Jackfruit (opens in a new tab)\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Jackfruit<\/span><\/a> is a giant, bumpy and super sticky green fruit that grows in tropical climates. When cooked with spices has the texture of pulled pork or chicken &#8211; yay!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So here&#8217;s my super simple recipe for jackfruit tacos, which\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.faithful-to-nature.co.za\/catalogsearch\/result\/?q=jackfruit\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Faithful to Nature<\/span><\/a>\u00a0is now stocking!!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">INGREDIENTS<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Makes 6<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Handful of Button mushrooms sliced into 4&#8217;s<\/li><li>1 tin <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.faithful-to-nature.co.za\/natures-charm-young-green-jackfruit-confiture\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">jackfruit<\/span><\/a> &#8211; shred and cut into smaller chunks<\/li><li>2 tablespoons <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.faithful-to-nature.co.za\/clarks-kitchen-chipotle-chilli-sauce\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">chipotle sauce<\/span><\/a><\/li><li>2 avocados mashed<\/li><li>1\/2 cup shredded lettuce<\/li><li>1\/2 cup shredded purple cabbage<\/li><li>1 lime<\/li><li>2 large tortillas cut into 6 round taco shells<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>For serving:<\/em> Pink pickled onions, fresh coriander and pickled jalapenos<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">METHOD<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>In a pan drizzle in some oil and fry off your mushroom slices with some salt until they are browned on either side. Take them out and set aside, then add in your jackfruit &#8211; add some extra oil if need be.
