This is a super quick and easy apple and blueberry crumble with cashew cream &#8211; it does not have the same sort of custardy texture that a baked crumble has, but is delicious and is so healthy that you can eat it for breakfast.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>INGREDIENTS<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p><em>FILLING<strong>:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>10 Apples cored and cut into chunks<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup\u00a0Blueberries<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 cup water<\/li>\n<li>2 TBSP <a href=\"https:\/\/www.faithful-to-nature.co.za\/komati-organic-brown-sugar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sugar<\/a> (you can substitute for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.faithful-to-nature.co.za\/leafy-greens-raw-local-honey\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">honey<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.faithful-to-nature.co.za\/biona-organic-agave-syrup-light\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">agave syrup<\/a>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>CRUMBLE<\/em>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1\/2 cup <a href=\"https:\/\/www.faithful-to-nature.co.za\/by-nature-raw-unpasturised-almonds\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">almonds<\/a>, chopped<\/li>\n<li>1 cup <a href=\"https:\/\/www.faithful-to-nature.co.za\/health-connection-gluten-free-rolled-oats-500g\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">gluten-free oats<\/a><\/li>\n<li>1\/4 cup <a href=\"https:\/\/www.faithful-to-nature.co.za\/earth-products-coconut-desiccated\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">desiccated coconut<\/a><\/li>\n<li>2 TBSP <a href=\"https:\/\/www.faithful-to-nature.co.za\/leafy-greens-raw-local-honey\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">honey<\/a> (you can substitute for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.faithful-to-nature.co.za\/biona-organic-agave-syrup-light\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">agave<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.faithful-to-nature.co.za\/silan-date-syrup-400g\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">date syrup<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>2 TBSP <a href=\"https:\/\/www.faithful-to-nature.co.za\/lemcke-neutral-taste-odourless-coconut-oil\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">coconut oil<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Pinch <a href=\"https:\/\/www.faithful-to-nature.co.za\/khoisan-salt-fine-sea-salt\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">salt<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>CASHEW CREAM:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1\/2 cup <a href=\"https:\/\/www.faithful-to-nature.co.za\/komati-raw-cashew-nuts\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">raw cashews<\/a><\/li>\n<li>1 tsp honey<\/li>\n<li>1 cup hot water<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>METHOD<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Soak your cashews in hot water.<\/li>\n<li>In a pan melt the coconut oil over a low heat for the crumble and add in the rest of the crumble ingredients &#8211; toast over the low heat for about 10 minutes until brown and crunchy. Set aside in a bowl and let cool.<\/li>\n<li>In the pan place your apples, water and sugar and let it simmer until the apples are soft &#8211; you can turn the apples over a few times to let them cook evenly but be sure not the mush them too much. Once the apples are cooked add in the blueberries and let them simmer in with the apples for a few seconds.<\/li>\n<li>Flatten out the apple mixture in the pan and sprinkle the crumble on top to make an even layer that covers the whole top of the crumble.
