If you&#8217;re used to that little bit of sweetness after dinner at night then this delicious golden drink is the perfect addition to your nightly routine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>INGREDIENTS:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>250ml <a href=\"https:\/\/www.faithful-to-nature.co.za\/almond-breeze-unsweetened-almond-milk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Almond Milk<\/a>\/<a href=\"https:\/\/www.faithful-to-nature.co.za\/biona-coconut-milk-classic-organic\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Coconut Milk<\/a><\/li><li>50ml filtered water<\/li><li>2 Tbsp&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.faithful-to-nature.co.za\/superfoods-raw-organic-cacao-powder\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Organic Cacao Powder<\/a><\/li><li>1 tsp&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.faithful-to-nature.co.za\/kalyan-organic-turmeric\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">organic turmeric<\/a><\/li><li>1 tsp&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.faithful-to-nature.co.za\/kalyan-organic-ground-cinnamon\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">organic cinnamon<\/a><\/li><li>1 tsp fresh grated ginger<\/li><li>1 tsp&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.faithful-to-nature.co.za\/lemcke-organic-virgin-coconut-oil\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">coconut oil<\/a><\/li><li>Grinding of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.faithful-to-nature.co.za\/good-life-organic-black-pepper-grinder\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">black pepper<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.faithful-to-nature.co.za\/simply-bee-raw-honey\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Honey<\/a>\/<a href=\"https:\/\/www.faithful-to-nature.co.za\/natures-choice-stevia-powder-natural-sweetener\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Stevia<\/a>, to taste<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Optional extra:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>1 tsp <a href=\"https:\/\/www.faithful-to-nature.co.za\/superfoods-organic-maca-root-powder\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Maca Root powder<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>METHOD:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Start by placing your cacao, cinnamon and a grinding of black pepper into a mug. If you\u2019re including Maca powder, add it in now.<\/li><li>Mix a teaspoon of turmeric with a teaspoon of coconut oil to form a paste (this helps <a href=\"https:\/\/www.faithful-to-nature.co.za\/blog\/4-ways-activate-turmeric-maximum-absorption\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">activate the spice for maximum absorption<\/a>). Add to other dry ingredients in mug.<\/li><li>Mix all the dry ingredients together and then add the unfiltered water to form a liquid paste.<\/li><li>Pour your choice of milk into a saucepan and place it on the stove on medium heat.<\/li><li>As soon as the milk starts steaming, pour your liquid cacao paste into the saucepan and stir.<\/li><li>Grate in fresh ginger and add your choice of sweetener and continue stirring.<\/li><li>Remove saucepan from heat before the mixture starts boiling and pour back into your mug (you can rinse it out before this)<\/li><li>Get into a cosy spot and enjoy your steamy cup of goodness.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>WHAT MAKES IT SO AMAZING:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re looking for a nourishing hot drink to enjoy on these chilly winter\u2019s days, you simply can\u2019t go wrong with this recipe. I enjoy winding down with a steaming cup (sans Maca Root powder) after dinner two or three evenings of the week, and always experience a good night\u2019s sleep after. This might not be the case for everyone however, since cacao may have a stimulating effect on some.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re looking for a more nutritious alternative to your morning cup of coffee, just add a teaspoon of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.faithful-to-nature.co.za\/superfoods-organic-maca-root-powder\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">maca root powder<\/a>.
