Maybe it works better for straight/wavy/loose curly hair which is why I gave it the rating I did. I just put this leave-in conditioner on her hair while she is still in the bath and by the time she gets out it combs through with ease. As it is 100% natural I am comfortable leaving it on her scalp without rinsing out, without the fear of the chemicals entering her skin like conventional leave in conditioners. Great product. It is very gentle perhaps even better suited to hair that doesn require quite so much help with tangles. Sadly I found myself returning to the mainstream detangler.
