Mawuwater is a proudly South African brand first established in 2012, with a mission to turn the bottled water industry upside-down. Faced with the shocking statistics about carbon emissions and pollution caused by single-use plastic water bottles, the Mawuwater brand created a sustainable and stylish alternative; the Mawu Aquasac.

The Aquasac design is based on traditional ergonomic African waterskins, made using state-of-the-art materials to create a wonderfully convenient, practical water carrier for the modern-day eco-warrior.

Mawuwater’s business practices are sustainable and ethical, making use of local craft and emerging designers. The brand takes its name from Mawu, the African goddess of creation also known as Mother Earth.
