Calendula has wonderful healing and anti-inflammatory properties and is well known to soothes and calm inflamed skin. The fact that this soap is unscented and that all the ingredients are organically produced makes it especially suitable for eczema and dry or chapped skin! It can be used on both the face and the body.

Calendula has been used to treat a variety of skin disorders, ranging from skin ulcerations to eczema. It has also been used to sooth stomach ulcers and inflammation. It is believed to help with the healing process with wounds, inflammations, burns (including sunburn), eczema, gastritis, peptic ulcers, ulcerative colitis and sore throats. Calendula is considered by many to be an effective detoxifying herb that can help with the toxicity associated many severe fevers and infections. Calendula is also widely recognized as a cleanser for the liver, gallbladder, and other organs. Calendula provides one of its greatest benefits in relieving eruptive skin disorders such as shingles, a viral infection.
