About the authors
Karen Thomson is the founder of the Harmony Eating & Lifestyle Program (HELP), an inpatient programme that treats carbohydrate and sugar as an addiction. HELP is the first of its kind in the world. During her lifetime, Karen has dealt with cocaine and alcohol addiction – yet she found that her addiction to sugar has been the toughest of all to beat. She has become passionate about helping others conquer their dependence on these harmful foods. Karen’s HELP programme is run in conjunction with Prof Tim Noakes and Addictions Clinic.
Kerry Hammerton is a lifestyle and health coach; she also has a licentiate in acupuncture and is a registered doctor of Chinese medicine.
