This is the gluten-free baker’s best friend! You can use Nature’s Choice Corn Starch as a thickener in sauces, soups and stews, or as an egg replacement and binder for your baked goods. Natures Choice Corn Starch is fine and creamy, free of preservatives and additives; from light translucent gravy to luscious thick custard, it’s so handy and very easy to use. Recipe for Simple Lemon & Herb Sauce:

  • 1cup cold milk
  • 1tbsp Natures Choice Corn Starch
  • 2tbsp butter, ghee or coconut oil
  • 1/4tsp salt
  • 1/8tsp pepper
  • 1/2tbsp fresh or dried basil, chopped
  • 1/2tbsp fresh or dried parsley, chopped
  • 1tbsp lemon juice


  • Heat the milk & cornstarch in a saucepan; stir until smooth.
  • Add the butter, salt & pepper. Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
  • Boil for 1min until sauce is thick & smooth. You now have a classic white sauce.
  • Stir in the basil, parsley & lemon juice. Serve with fish, poultry or cooked veggies & enjoy!

  • Use as a thickener or binder in baked goods, gravy, custard & sauces.
  • Can be used as an egg replacement in baked goods.
  • Use to “flour” pieces of meat like steak & schnitzel, for extra crispiness when browning.
  • Store in a cool dry place.

Top Tips: When you use corn starch to thicken a sauce, be careful not to overcook the mixture and do not freeze it; this will turn the sauce thin and runny. Excessive stirring will also make the mixture too thin.
