This precious form of tea is microbially fermented through the action of moulds, bacteria and yeasts. Pu'erh originates from the Yunnan province in China and has been prized for its health benefits for over 2,000 years. Did You Know? Pu’erh is a geographically indicated (GI) product, and can only be produced and fermented in Southern Yunnan with sun-dried green tea from certain tea varietals found in Yunnan, Laos, Burma and some parts of Thailand. Also, Pu’erh can mellow and improve with age like fine wine. Some pu’erh teas are more than 50 years old, and rare ones sell for many thousands of dollars in Asian specialty stores!

    17 Jun, 2016, By Christine As far as I can tell this is yet another of Lady Bonins teas that is not certified organic.
    Tea (especially from China) that is not certified organic is almost certainly heavily sprayed with herbicides and pesticides. Stay away from this product if you are looking for a clean, healthy, environmentally friendly and sustainable product.
