Hemptons is working closely with numerous bodies within South Africa and internationally to assist rural farmers (co-operatives) to establish Hemp as a viable agricultural crop. They are also working at promoting and establishing Hemp products in the market so that these farmers will have a local outlet for their produce. In knowing that our bodies absorb live plant nutrients far more effectively than products which contain synthetic and chemical ingredients, the Hemptons range include mostly natural products such as oils, waxes and botanicals. Their Body care products are based around the beneficial properties of Hemp Seed Oil and Hemp Wax. The products have just enough preservatives, which are used conservatively to guard against bacterial contamination and degradation. However, they are not Paraben based or any other formaldehyde forming preservative. Instead they use mild and where possible natural but effective alternatives. Their shampoos and shower gels also do not contain any Sodium Laurent and/or Laureth Sulfates, Polyethylene or Propylene Glycol. Their creams and lotions also don't contain any mineral oils or liquid paraffin's either – instead they use natural oils and waxes to moisturize, lubricate, pamper and heal.
