Amaranth is a gluten free grain which is higher in protein than most grains & a good source of calcium, iron, magnesium & manganese.

Directions for Use:
To 1 cup of amaranth, add 2 1/2 cups water or vegetable stock. Bring to the boil & simmer until tender, about 20 minutes.

Can be served savoury in place of rice or sweet as a breakfast cereal with chopped nuts & raisins.
