Good Life – Organic Bengali 5 Spice Mix

This Organic Bengali spice mix is nothing but pure spice and has:

  • No Chemicals
  • No Pesticides
  • No Irradiation
  • No GMO

    • This mix of herbs is an explosion of flavour known as Panch Phoron. Panch means "five" and phoron is "flavour" or "spice". Panch phoron is a colourful, earthy and spicey blend of the flavourful seeds: nigella, black mustard, fenugreek, fennel & cumin.

    Stir-Fried Cabbage with Bengali 5 spice mix Recipe:
  • 3 tab organic olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons minced ginger
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 head cabbage, finely shredded
  • salt to taste
  • 2 teaspoons Bengali 5 spice mix (panch phoron)

    • Cooking Method:
    Heat 2 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the ginger, turmeric, and onion. Stir-fry until the onion is soft and beginning to brown. Add the cabbage and salt and stir fry until the cabbage is slightly wilted.
    In a separate pan heat the remainder of oive oil and when hot, add the panch phoron. As soon as the mixture crackles and is aromatic, pour it over the cabbage and mix. Serve hot as a side dish.
